Terry W. Allen
Terry Allen is a senior executive and entrepreneur with over 35 years of business development, executive management, marketing, and sales experience in both the information technology and automotive industries.
Terry holds an Airline Transport Pilot’s license and has both flown privately and commercially piston, turbo prop and airline transport category aircraft including the Airbus A320.
Terry has co-founded a global enterprise governance risk and compliance enterprise which he successfully sold to a silicon valley venture firm, as well as national automotive collision repair franchise organisation that he sold to a multi-billion dollar global glass company.
Paul J. Hookham
With over 20 year’s experience as a CFO, Paul has also co-founded several companies, exiting the first, a global governance/risk/compliance software company, to a silicon valley private equity firm, and the second, a national automotive industry franchise organization, to a multi-billion dollar global conglomerate.
Paul has extensive corporate finance experience with global M&A and raising capital in international debt and equity markets including the US, England, and Asia.
Recently involved in residential property development as founder of Architectus, Paul spends his time coaching growth companies, performing as a jazz drummer, travelling, and supporting the arts.
Don Riep
Don Riep is a distinguished IT expert and visionary in technology leadership and has dedicated over three decades to the expansion of enterprises by creating innovative and impactful technology solutions.
In his tenure as co-founder and CTO, Don played a pivotal role in the inception and growth of Yardstick Software, Canada’s largest national online testing company with over 150 staff and 5 offices across Canada. His professional accolades include being a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, along with Yardstick’s recognition in Profit Hot 50, Top 100 Fast Growth, and Top 200 Fast Growth categories.
Don’s passion extends beyond the technology sector, into aviation, where he is an experienced commercial turbine pilot, and as well, invests and participates in various aviation-related businesses.
Jim Colvin
Jim Colvin is a technology executive, investor, and technology/IP lawyer, specializing in start-up and growth-stage companies.
Over the past 12 years, Jim has led SIMS’ predecessor Serious Labs from an early-stage tech company to being a world leader in the field of virtual reality-based industrial training simulators.
Jim holds an honours law degree from the University of London, while his NCA accreditation comes from the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria. He focused his practice on intellectual property and business law.
Gregg Christensen
Dallas-based Gregg Christensen served as Vice President of National Accounts for United Rentals until 2020 and has been in the equipment rental business for 38 years.
He has served in a variety of operational and sales leadership roles throughout his career and joined United Rentals in 2008.
Gregg holds a BS degree in Business Management from Florida Southern College and has extensive certifications in multiple facets of the equipment business.
Terry Freeman
Terry Freeman is head of investments and founder of ATB Private Equity, the private equity arm of ATB Financial.
Terry previously served as managing director of Northern Plains Capital, a private equity firm specializing in growth-oriented oilfield services and energy industrial investments.
He also spent 15 years as CFO of Flint Energy Services Ltd. and its predecessors, where he managed the financial and administrative operations of the company including investor and banking relations, risk management, mergers and acquisitions and various other executive responsibilities and its growth from $20 million to over $2 billion in revenue.
