Serious Labs (SLI) VR Simulators are powered by a low-cost, high-powered “gaming computer”. Although the specific computer model we deploy may change from time to time as hardware improves, we currently implement this computer with every VR Simulator:

Virtual Reality Hardware

A central and dynamic element to our simulator is the virtual reality headset. Virtual reality hardware is constantly improving and there are several solid headsets available. We currently utilize the following VR Hardware for our simulators:

  • Oculus Rift Headset & Touch (Controls).

     

  • HTC VIVE Headset, Controllers, and Trackers.

Travel Cases & Pallet Containers

 

VR Aerial Work Platform Simulator: A pallet-based container is provided for deployment of this unit which can be shipped globally on a single standard pallet.

SLI manufactures all of the remaining hardware to create its simulators including:

  • Actuator Motion-Base
  • Motion-Base Controls, Joysticks & Foot Pedals
  • Desktop Controls, Joysticks & Foot Pedals

Warranty Information on Third-Party Hardware

Computer: This equipment is purchased off-the-shelf from a manufacturer and distributed to you by SLI. Should this equipment be damaged, SLI Support will contact the manufacturer on your behalf to get your unit repaired/replaced according to the manufacturer’s warranty and policies. If it is found that your unit is no longer under warranty or the damage is due to negligence, you will be required to purchase this equipment at the standard retail price.

VR Hardware: This equipment is purchased off-the-shelf from the manufacturer and distributed to you by SLI. Oculus Rift provides a 1 year warranty for this product unless sold into the EU, in which the warranty lasts for 2 years. Should this equipment be damaged, SLI Support will contact Oculus Rift on your behalf to get your unit repaired/replaced. If it is found that your unit is no longer under warranty, you will be required to purchase this equipment at the standard retail price. HTC VIVE provides a 1 year warranty for this product. Should this equipment be damaged, SLI Support will contact HTC on your behalf to get your unit repaired/replaced.
